Future Expansion and Academic Development

As part of its long-term strategic development plan, Christian Ministerial Training University is currently pursuing the necessary regulatory, quality assurance, and institutional development processes required for the future introduction of selected secular and professional academic programs.

The University is engaging with relevant Higher Education Authorities, quality assurance agencies, accreditation bodies, and educational stakeholders in various countries as part of its commitment to institutional growth and academic diversification.

While these processes are ongoing, CMTU wishes to clarify that any future secular programs will only be offered following the successful completion of all applicable registration, affiliations, approval, accreditation, and quality assurance requirements as determined by the respective national regulatory authorities.

This initiative reflects the University's vision of providing holistic education that integrates faith, leadership, professional competence, innovation, research, and community service.

Prof. Dr. Bishop Kennedy Songwe, PhD is a globally recognized spiritual leader, distinguished academic, electrical engineer, author, and humanitarian, whose influence spans across theology, peace education, leadership development, and international community transformation. He stands as a visionary reformer and transformational leader, committed to advancing faith, knowledge, and sustainable peace across nations.

With a rare and dynamic blend of spiritual authority and academic excellence, Prof. Dr. Songwe holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theology and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Peace Education, reflecting his deep intellectual and spiritual commitment to both divine principles and global harmony. His academic journey is further enriched by multiple honorary doctorates, professional certifications, and scholarly recognitions, positioning him among respected voices in theological and leadership education worldwide.

In addition to his theological and humanitarian engagements, he is a qualified Electrical Engineer and serves as an Electrical Lecturer, demonstrating a unique interdisciplinary approach that bridges science, education, and ministry. His ability to integrate technical expertise with spiritual leadership distinguishes him as a multifaceted leader in both academic and practical fields.

Prof. Dr. Bishop Kennedy Songwe currently serves as a senior international academic and ecclesiastical leader, including his role as International Executive Director and Chancellor of Christian Ministerial Training University (CMTU). In this capacity, he has played a pivotal role in shaping ministerial education, mentoring emerging leaders, and strengthening institutional frameworks across continents. His leadership continues to influence theological training, leadership development, and global academic collaboration.

Recognized at both national and international levels, he is officially acknowledged as a Gazetted Minister by the Government of Zambia, affirming his credibility, leadership, and contribution to national development. His impact extends beyond the church into civic, academic, and humanitarian spheres, where he continues to be a voice for transformation and unity.

In recognition of his outstanding global contributions, Prof. Dr. Songwe is a recipient of the prestigious Ambassador for Peace Award, alongside numerous other awards, honors, and distinctions for excellence in ministry, education, leadership, and peacebuilding. These recognitions reflect his unwavering dedication to promoting reconciliation, unity, and sustainable development in diverse communities around the world.

As an accomplished author, he has contributed to global discourse on peace and nation-building through his notable work, “Building Bridges: The Path to Lasting Peace in Zambia.” His writings emphasize reconciliation, leadership responsibility, and the importance of unity in achieving long-term societal transformation.

He is the founder and leader of Greenling Global Peace & Charitable Organization, a humanitarian platform committed to advancing peace initiatives, community development, and social empowerment. Through this organization and other institutional engagements, he has led numerous initiatives aimed at uplifting communities, empowering youth, and fostering global partnerships for sustainable change.
